We Are Blessed!

Pathways students continue to enjoy the blessing of many faithful friends who are willing to bless us with their time and presents that allow our class to continue to exist. Here is yet another example of how the Lord uses people to provide our needs. The hats are because we were celebrating Rebecca's birthday! She is a friend of Pathways and someone our students adore!
The picture to the left is of our brand new refrigerator! The students kept saying, "It is new, it is new!" They immediately put all their lunches in the fridge:)

Covered in Prayer

Yesterday during our prayer time in class the student's suddenly realized that we hadn't prayed for Carolyn, or Ms. Carol as some of our students call her. One of our students jumps up and goes and grabs her hand while our other student grabs her hand too.
The prayer time at Pathways is so amazing. The student's are so sensitive to others needs and are willing to ask God to touch their lives and the lives of their family and friends. I feel so blessed to be covered in prayer by my students.

The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Today we learned a valuable lesson about Giving back from our students. Patricia, one of our students came in with some of her old jewlery for our student store. She donated them so that other people could enjoy them. Her gift was then passed on to Philip, one of our students. Philip used his "Rightway Money"that he earned to buy a braclet one of our student's Jenni. It was Jenni birthday and Philip presented the bracelet to her. It truely is better to give than receive.

Simple Acts of Kindness

Today during prayer time we had a student who was upset about a relative that had cancer. As she was praying I saw two students get up and immediately wanted to correct them and ask them to sit down. They both rushed for a tissue and a paper towel and immediately offered their support to their friend who was crying.

They didn't say a word, just handed her a tissue and sat down. What a wonderful lesson we could all learn from the simple acts of kindness I see from our students each day

God= Unchangeable, Unshakable, and Unstoppable

A couple of times a month we try to do a Bible study with our students that involves playing a song and tying the song into our lives. Last week we did the song You Are God Alone. Click on this link to listen to the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMjMDxPkXkI.

We know that when our student's lift their voices to the Lord, it is very pleasing to the Lord. This particular day one of our students who continues to ask us,"What IS God"sat and sang every word to the song. At then end he let us know that Our God is Unchangeable, Unshakable, and Unstoppable. He now has his definition for God.

We are daily stretched and challenged during our Bible Study time by questions that are hard to answer. Matthew's question of "What is God?" is one of those questions. It is amazing to discover and go deeper with our special students who challenge us for answers Matthew was so pleased to know that he serves a God who is Unchangeable, Unshakable, and Unstoppable.
